====== Booting from an iSCSI target ====== Place the following two lines in ///etc/dhcpd.conf//: filename ""; option root-path "iscsi:my.target.dns.name::::iqn.2007-08.name.dns.target.my:iscsiboot"; where //my.target.dns.name// is the DNS name (or IP address) of your iSCSI target, and //iqn.2007-08.name.dns.target.my:iscsiboot// is the iSCSI target IQN that you wish to boot from. You will probably need to restart your DHCP server for the changes to take effect: root@chipmunk# /etc/init.d/dhcpd restart Boot your diskless client using gPXE. If all has gone well, you should see it boot from your iSCSI target image. Congratulations on a successful boot from SAN! ===== Troubleshooting ===== If you have difficulties booting Windows from SAN, take a look at [[:sanboot:winnt_iscsi_debug|Debugging Windows iSCSI boot]].
